4th of July & Tuachan

Geoff's parents came and stayed a week with us. We went and watched Grease at the Tuachan down in St. George. This was their first time to go to the Tuachan. It was so hot, and poor Patti & her asthma weren't handling it well. Grease was okay - better than Footloose (one of the plays at Tuachan last year we watched), but just....okay. But over all, it was a fun night.

We attended the Cedar City 4th of July parade. This was Phoebee's first parade, and at first she was NOT a fan. This was because the parade started with fire engines - a lot of them, and her poor little ears didn't like it one bit.

So the follow pictures were taken before the parade started and she was happy :)

Kelton, Phoebee and Katie .... waiting and waiting for it to start

After the parade we went back to Katie's house and played in the back yard with the puppies. Bean and Val ran around like crazy. They miss living there so bad. Mya (Randy & Patti's yorkie) had fun, but was very protective of Randy and Patti, and any time Kye would come near them, she would try and bite Kye. Little stinker.

Phoebee crawling in the grass for he first time (she hated grass for a while)

Katie brushing Kye - see how is eyes are closed? He LOVES getting brushed.

Phoebee eating a truck - yum!

Later that evening, we had a BBQ at our place, and watched fireworks from our front and back yard - yes you read that right. It was like we were playing musical chairs or something. Someone in our neighborhood was doing there own show from the front yard & then we watched Enoch Cities from our back yard. And by we, I mean Geoff and his parents. Phoebee does not like fireworks. I think we ruined that for her when we took her to watch the Utah Summer Games fireworks last month. They are the BEST fireworks show we've ever seen, but were very very very loud. It freaked Phoebee out, and she cried the whole time. So I tried taking her outside and sitting on a blanket or just standing. But no matter how far away it was, she let me know she didn't like it. So we spent the show in doors.

It was a fun week.
