June - Robinson Reunion & Temple Sealing

Summer seems to be getting busier and busier, but that's a good thing right? At least we have something to do, and family and friends to spend it with.

A little over two years ago, my grandpa George Ellsworth passed away. His wife, my grandma Juanita, made it a goal to have them sealed together in the temple. So on June 24th, we went to the Vernal, Utah LDS Temple to witness this, as well as a large portion of the Ellsworth family. My grandpa was sealed to his parents, grandpa George and grandma Juanita were sealed to each other, then those of their children who could be in the temple were sealed to them. It was a very spiritual and emotional experience for a number of reasons. When you're in the temple, the spirit is so strong, and manifests to you that the reason you are there is right and true. My dad was the only child of my grandparents unable to be sealed because he and my mother have not been through the temple. It was an experience of mixed emotions for Kenzee and I (Chase and Brooke were in New York and unable to attend), because we wanted our parents there with us more than anything. The goal of having our family sealed together for eternity is something that my siblings and I will never give up on, and hope will happen soon.

The next day was the Robinson family reunion in Manila. It was a fun day to spend time with family and enjoy the peace and quiet of the country. I really miss my home town sometimes. It's such a beautiful place and at times growing up, I thought that I would always go back to live. Given things that have happened and how truly toxic the people are there, I would never live there again. But it's always great to visit. Geoffrey was able to spend a day to himself fishing and relaxing....both things that he rarely gets to do, but loves. Here are some pictures of that day:
