Thanksgiving/ Geoff's Birthday/ Christmas 2011

{THANKSGIVING}

This Thanksgiving, we ended up spending the day with Katie at her place with some friends. I was still recovering from my gal bladder surgery and didn't feel up to traveling, and Geoff's family was sick and didn't want to come down and spread the germs. It was low-key and nice to go and eat, visit and come home and not have to worry about cleaning everything up.

{GEOFF'S BIRTHDAY}

For Geoff's birthday this year, we ended up celebrating it a few times. First, we went to Benja in St. George with Chris and Brenna, and had some yummy Thai food (although Phoebee really wouldn't let me eat, and spent time running up and down the hallway instead).

Next, we went with the Funerburks, Marshalls, and Ballards to the local aquatic center for some fun. Phoebee was very hesitant of the water (gets that from me unfortunately). But after a while, she was loving it!!! Maybe there is hope that she will be like her dad, and love the water after all.

After swimming, we went out to Lupita's for dinner with the Funderburks and then to Maggie Moo's for dessert.

Happy Birthday to you.....cha cha cha!!!

The last birthday celebration, was our annual dinner at The Roof in Salt Lake City with Geoff's parents. The food as usual was good, Phoebee however, wasn't feeling well and decided to keep throwing mini fits. Next year, most likely, we'll have to get a baby sitter.

{CHRISTMAS}

Christmas, hands down, is my favorite holiday. I love love love everything about it. Phoebee loved "ooh-ing" and "aahh-ing" at the tree, ornaments and decorations. She in fact, would take whatever she could get her chubby little hands on and hide it in the dogs travel-crate. I swear she must be part pack-rat, because I would find numerous things in the crate everyday. Now that we have a child of our own, and she seems to get so excited about things, Christmas this year was the best that we have had. Here's our Christmas tree:

Tree close up - my mom and I made the majority of the ornaments on the tree.

Here's our Christmas card. I messed up and didn't order enough this year. Oh well...hopefully, I'll do better next year:

We went to our ward's Christmas party, and Phoebee got all dressed up to meet Santa. She did so good, she didn't even cry. She just looked at him questionably as usual.

We celebrated our Christmas at our house a few days early, because we knew we'd be traveling and didn't want to pack all the gifts up with us. The less we take, the better. The first two pictures were taken the morning before we opened up the gifts. Phoebee as you can see really really wanted to open them :).

Please.....please can I open them???

We then spent time at both families houses, but I didn't take many pictures at all, because I was sick. Ooops. But, this is what I did manage to get:

Ho ho ho - taught Phoebee to say this. She's such a cutie!!
